I would like to start off by saying thank you for this gracious opportunity. I really appreciate you for extending a helping hand to me, as I venture into this new endeavor of furthering my education. Words cannot express the appreciation that I feel, I am striving as a young minority to make a change in the world. I know that I have to start with myself and take things one day at a time. You are not only helping me but you are also helping my peers around me and those to come after me who I influence. I want to give back to my community but most importantly I want my life's work to speak for me.

Dear Anthony’s Legacy of Love Committee,
Thank you so much for selecting me as the recipient of the Outstanding Community Leadership Award. Although Anthony’s life was tragically cut short, the impact he made toward his community will forever be remembered and cherished. I would like to express my deepest gratitude for Anthony’s exceptional dedication to serving others, as his legacy will live on as a beacon of inspiration for generations to come. As someone who takes great pride in serving their community, I am touched by Anthony’s indelible impact and unwavering commitment to serving others. Receiving this scholarship will not only alleviate my cost of attendance, but also serves as a reminder to spend more time giving back to make the world a better place. Hi my name is Kaijiera A. and I am a rising sophomore at the City College of New York pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management. I want to thank the Anthony’s Legacy of Love Foundation for granting me the opportunity to further my education. I want to use my education and experiences to spread awareness to autoimmune diseases and other health issues that are not recognized in the community. I am inspired by the foundation to continue to volunteer and make a difference one hour at a time.

As we approach the six-year anniversary of Anthony Rodriguez Scott’s passing, I write this letter to sincerely thank Anthony's Legacy of Love Foundation (ALL) foundation in honor of his fond memory. Upon applying for this award, I spent thoughtful time for self-reflection in the context of Anthony’s legacy and found profound similarities: a shared love for Chick-fil-A and Powerade, a shared future aspiration in healthcare, and most importantly a shared passion for community service.

With that, I would like to thank Anthony for the opportunity to receive this award and apply it to my higher education goals in hopes of carrying out his ambitions to give back to his roots and his community. Although he is no longer with us, his memory lives on forever. So, thank you to Anthony Rodriguez Scott and and all those involved in supporting and carrying on the Anthony Rodriguez Scott Legacy of Love Memorial Scholarship Fund.
