recipients 2022
I would like to thank you for selecting me as a recipient for this year's scholarship. I am honored to be involved in this foundation. After hearing Anthony’s story, I feel inspired to make a difference. Anthony was the light in a room and was able to make everyone laugh and feel them with joy. This award has helped me as I am now able to purchase the needed supplies for my first year at college. I would like to thank you again for this scholarship.
Thanks,
Edward P.
Dear Anthony’s Legacy of Love Committee,
Thank you so much for the generous scholarship! I am currently attending Rutgers University and will continue dedicating my life to helping and inspiring others to live life to the fullest. I am very grateful to be a recipient of this scholarship, I am honored to represent an organization as incredible as yours. I am sure Anthony would be proud of me, the members, and the committee who made this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity a reality.

Dear Anthony's Legacy of Love Committee,
Thank you so much for choosing me as one of the recipients for the Outstanding Community Leadership Scholarship. Throughout my whole life I have been devoted to serving those who are underrepresented, struggling financially, or simply just in need of help. Some of the service I am most proud of being a part of is my work with running a tutoring organization in my local area, running a community service club at my high school, and traveling to Haiti to help support new infrastructure to help more people get jobs.
Being recognized for this service is something that I never thought would happen because I always did it because of my deep seeded love of helping people. However, being recognized for what I have done means so much to me. It gives me the opportunity to use more time volunteering with others. Furthermore, this scholarship truly will help lessen the financial burden going into college. I plan to pursue a graduate degree to become a Physician's Assistant after completing my undergraduate degree and this money will help tremendously. I hope that with my future career I will be able to continue to serve others by treating them medically.
I also just want to express my gratitude for this organization one last time. Although Anthony's life was tragically cut short, he lives on in this organization. To be a part of a group that is able to honor a person's legacy in such a beautiful way is an amazing thing. I cannot wait to help at all of the future events held by the organization and keep spreading Anthony's message to the people that need to hear it most. This truly is a wonderful group, and I am so honored to be one of your scholarship recipients representing the organization.
Thank you,
Rachel H.
I would like to thank Anthony’s family for all the love and support they provide to others with autoimmune diseases, not only through these scholarships, but through their work in the community. I am honored to receive this scholarship, as I recognize the importance of the foundation, Anthony’s legacy, and the need for it to be carried on.
As someone who continues to battle with an autoimmune disease, I understand the need to spread awareness and provide support and help to those affected. This scholarship will help allow me to attend Franklin and Marshall College where I plan to pursue a degree in the medical field. It is my hope to learn more about this area of medicine so that I may someday help those who also battle autoimmune diseases.
Thank you again to the Anthony’s Legacy of Love Foundation for your generosity.
Sincerely,
Kaitlyn E.
To the Anthony’s Legacy of Love Foundation & Donors,
Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to be this year’s Frontline Medical Workers scholarship recipient!
I was first drawn to apply to this scholarship when I heard of the values that Anthony stood for, primarily his spirit of generosity and practice of giving back to one’s community. This ideal also plays a paramount role in my life, whether through fundraising for March of Dimes or educating and advocating as an ESL tutor. As such, I am incredibly honored and grateful to continue representing this spirit as an ALL-scholarship recipient.
I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge how much this scholarship will financially help me work towards this goal. To put it colloquially, it is well known that medical school costs “an arm and a leg”, and this scholarship will help me greatly as I move forward in my goal to become a physician through Syracuse University & Upstate Medical University’s 7-Year BS/MD program.
Thank you for your generosity and the positive impact this scholarship has had on me. I hope to continue carrying on Anthony’s legacy and the foundation’s initiatives as a future healthcare worker, to make a difference in the lives of the surrounding community and my future patients.
Warmly,
Nandita G.
